This photo of Chac Mool includes some of the same rock formations in silhouette as the "retracted" photo. The composition is different but the rock formation to the right, pointing left, is in both pix; the other shot from further right and ducking down.
Nearly the same perspetive as the one taped to the wall next to my piano. "...broad rings of reverberating sunlight..." Perhaps the other photographer is one of these divers! Could be, you know...
Cenote, Chac Mool: stunningly gorgeous. More broad rings of reverberating sunlight.
Cenote, Chaac Mool: No diving equipment!
The Fountain at Carlton Gardens, Melbourne, Australia. Step far back, plant yourself under a tree in late summer, step slightly to the right to reveal the architecture of the archway...maybe he had to climb a tree too! LOL This fountain is enormous!
A wonderful photo, but still not as stunning as Whatzizzname's. He cradles this enormous fountain within the archway from under a tree opposite both building and fountain...see next photo.
It appears the large trees to the left would provide the 'canopy of leaves' for Whatzizzname's shot. His shot deletes the pool of water, emphasizes symmetrical landscaping and cradles the fountain within the archway as background.
Artist's drawing of the fountain at Carlton Gardens illustrates scale. Step to the right for the perspective of the photo I am working with.
The fountain at Carlton Gardens, detail.
A beautiful shot. Not Whatzizzname's!
The Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens, Melbourne, Australia: seemingly the back of the building.
The "impressive building" described in relation to the photo I named "The Fountain" is The Royal Exhibition Bldg at Carlton Gardens, Melbourne, Australia: areal view shown.
